REMPLAN Community Profile Update

The team at REMPLAN are pleased to announce the first update of REMPLAN Community Profiles following the initial launch in July this year.

This update incorporates feedback from clients and one of the changes we have implemented is that ‘not applicable’ cohorts are switched off by default.  This allows the charts, graphs, maps and tables to provide more informative insights into the characteristics of local communities.  The ‘not applicable’ category can be switched on and off as required, please refer to the example below:

To switch on the ‘not applicable’ category, click on the ‘Show Not Applicable’ tick box on the left (this is circled in red below).  Please note that the ‘not applicable’ category is now shown in the pie chart below and the values and percentage are adjusted accordingly.

Feel free to explore some examples of REMPLAN Community Profiles:

Please note: there are a number of REMPLAN economic and demographic packages. This update applies only to REMPLAN Community Profiles.

REMPLAN online economic profiles have been updated following recent releases of unemployment rates and building approvals data.

1. Unemployment Rates
All public access REMPLAN economic profiles have now been updated with the latest area-specific unemployment rates (June quarter 2013). These estimates are sourced from the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations' (DEEWR) Small Area Labour Markets (SALM) datasets.

To access unemployment rate data via the economic profiles select the 'Trends' tab towards the top tight of the screen, then select 'Unemployment' from the sub-menu. Click on the image below to view a live example:

2. Building Approvals

REMPLAN public access economic profiles have now been updated with the latest building approvals data (2012-13) sourced from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS).

Please note that due to insufficient information the ABS has not updated non-residential building approval data for Western Australia and Northern Territory .

To access building approval data via the economic profiles select the 'Trends' tab towards the top tight of the screen, then select 'Building Approvals' from the sub-menu. Click on the image below to view a live example:
